Why do fishermen throw fish back rather than give them to needed people or the homeless. I know they have a limit but sometimes they're not even close to their limit.

I have enough to deal with packing, ice , fuel, rods, bait etc, I fish to relax, one more thing to do it starts feeling like work. Fish has tasted good all these years.

I eat them regularly , filet it, medium high heat butter olive oil and spice of your choice 3 minutes each side, enjoy a great tasting fish.
